Hot Raspberry Cider

A Word About the Raspberry Jelly:

I have found that raspberry jelly is pretty dang expensive.  So I have many a times substituted raspberry jam.  The seeds are still in the drink, but if that bothers you, run the drink through some cheese cloth before serving. Personally, since most of the seeds fall to the bottom, I find they don’t actually get into the drink very often.

Ingredients

  • 1 quart apple cider
  • 12 ozs. raspberry jelly
  • 1 teaspoon  pre-sweetened lemonade-flavored drink mix
  • 1/8 teaspoon unsweetened raspberry-flavored drink mix
  • fresh lemon slices

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

In a large saucepan, bring cider to a simmer.  Add jelly and drink mixes, stirring until jelly is dissolved.  Serve hot with lemon slices.
