Garlic Mushrooms
One Batch Isn’t Enough:
Depending on the amount of people you are having over for game night, one batch may not be enough. There are usually on 18 to 20 mushrooms in a pound. Do the math!
Ingredients
- ¼ cup white grape juice
- ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp minced fresh thyme
- 1 lb mushrooms (optional: trim stems to cap level)
- salt and pepper to taste
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Stir together white grape juice, olive oil, garlic and thyme in a large bowl and add a good pinch of each salt and pepper. Add the mushrooms and stir well to evenly coat in the garlic mixture. Set aside for 30 to 60 minutes, stirring occasionally. The mushrooms will absorb most of the liquid in this time.
Step 2
Arrange the mushrooms on a baking sheet and broil until tender, turning them once halfway through. Slip them onto picks for serving.
