Chocolate Nut Tarts

 

A Twist Using Box Brownie Mix:

Such a simple upgrade to the regular boxed brownie mix. My favorite brand is Ghiradelli and I buy it in bulk at my local Costco. By making it in the mini-muffic tin, the little tarts come out perfect for bite-size snacking.

Ingredients

  • 1 package fudge brownie mix
  • 2 ½ cups pecans or walnuts, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 Tbsp dark corn syrup

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Prepare brownie mix according to package.  In separate bowl, combine nuts, butter and corn syrup. 

Step 2

In separate bowl, combine nuts, butter and corn syrup.  Spray mini muffin tins with cooking oil.  Spoon small amount of nuts in bottom of each mini muffin.  Firmly pack down nuts for the base.  

Step 3

Pour brownie mix on top of each nut base.  Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
