Pear and Pecan Salad

 

Make this at the Height of Pear Season:

Such a fresh flavor! This is a hit on a hot summer day.

Ingredients

  • 6-8 cups baby spinach leaves (You can substitute chopped romaine lettuce)
  • 2 medium pears, sliced
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 medium avocados, cubed
  • 8 slices cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 4-6 oz. feta cheese, crumbled

Dressing Idea:  Mix your favorite Poppy Seed bottled dressing (70%) and your favorite bottled Balsamic Vinaigrette (30%).  Of course, you can always make a dressing from scratch.

Combine all the salad ingredients and toss.   Serve with Balsamic Poppy Seed Dressing.
