Mom’s Pot Roast
This is the Way I Make My Mom’s Pot Roast:
Though my father was the real cook in our house, my mother sure did make a mean pot roast! My sisters and I ate this many a Sunday during our childhood.
Ingredients
- 2 lb pot roast of your choice, still frozen
- several small potatoes, washed and peeled (I use baby reds)
- 1 lb bag of baby carrots, peeled
- stalks of celery, chopped
- 1 onion, any color
- 1 cup of water
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Place frozen meat in center of roasting pan. Put potatoes in first, then the carrots. Chop celery and onion in large chunks and throw that in too. Add one cup of water.
Step 2
Cover and bake at 350° for 3 hours. Use the juice from the meat to make gravy.
